Cryopreserved primary dissociated cells from embryonic rat brain cortex are available ready-to-use. These CryoCells™ express the most important inhibitory and excitatory ion channels and form highly connected neuritic networks after 10–14 DIV.





Plated on MEAs, they develop spontaneous electrophysiological activity and present an in vitro biological sensor capable of detecting drug effects on neuronal function in a live cellular network. The MEA60 system permits simultaneous high-resolution recordings of neuronal activity patterns from a square array of 60 microelectrodes.
