What can the Neurochip Consortium offer?

The Neurochip Consortium tests potential drugs for effects on neuronal network activity in vitro. The analysis includes evaluation of immediate and long-term drug effects on spike and burst activity, and test for reversibility. The results presented for each drug include the original data and a summary report. The test is performed with a standardized cell culture of embryonic rat brain cortex CryoCells™ dissociated on microelectrode arrays. Tests with different cell types may be provided on request.
